Too bad the park rangers chased me away a little early. Lol. I didn't pay the parking fee ($3) because I had no cash today. I really wanted to run on some trails too. I went around for a short loop (but scenic) and took a breather at the parking lot. I was going to head back out on another set of trails when the park ranger van drove up to check the parking station. So I non-nonchalantly got in my car and headed home. Boo. :(
FYI: I normally pay that parking fee. Today was an odd day.
So I did a 600 yard swim, 5 mile bike and a 2 mile trail run. My pace on the trail run was crappy, but I was enjoying the view (and taking pictures). Plus who runs on trails at their fastest pace ever? I always have a slow pace when I run trails; however, I find that running trails helps my road pace improve. :)
I went to Sope Creek Park. I ran alone as usual. :( Starting to get kind of lonely training by myself. I need to find groups to train with...
I love creeks and streams. :)
To the right of this tree you could see how massive the thing was. It has partially knocked over another large oak tree. I think it's collateral damage from the nasty storm/tornado we had at the beginning of March.
More cleaned up debris. Probably from that storm/tornado back in March again.
When I see trees and logs across ravines, creeks, streams, etc, I want to go climb across it. :) That's how I spent my childhood in the summers.
