So I was looking over a blog, Fit Chick in the City, and a crazy idea popped into my head. Could I run 1000 miles in one year?
I set a goal on RunKeeper to run 280 miles by September 30. I'm about to hit the halfway point on it and I've been toying with the idea of upping my runs from 2-4 milers to 6-8 milers. If I did that then that goal will be done quickly. Lol.
So after that goal is completed. What about a goal of 1000 miles in 365 days? Averages out to 2.73 miles a day for 365 days. Now I'm not a streaker (a person who runs every day without fail). But I did figure out that it averages out to be 19.18 miles a week. I roughly average anywhere from 9-15 miles a week currently. If I actually make a commitment (very scary word for me!) to keep running and also training for triathlons, then this goal is totally doable! Hmmmmm.... It's that commitment word though... Very scary...
